Still no word from my editor on the manuscript. I can't believe no news is good news in this instance. Can't help worrying that there are many flaws to find.
On the other hand, worrying won't help one bit. I will be glad to get her comments though. Then I can get on with putting things right. Hopefully.
My tenth book (nine already published) and I feel like a novice all of a sudden. I'm pouring out my heart here.

I'm with new publisher for this book, so I suppose this is making me uneasy. I hate the waiting!

Thanks for your interest and for asking. I write women's fiction - regional sagas. My last six books were published by Hodder & Stoughton. My pen name is Gwen Madoc. The books can be viewed on amazon.co.uk.
My current book is for Severn House Publishers. It's my first with them, so I'm nervous.
My first three books were published with Piatkus Books under my own name. That was back in 1997. It seems like eons ago.

If you are worrying then your work is probably absolutely fine! You obviously care about maintaining your standards so probably do maintain them...
I worry in the same way about my work - it entails lots of imagination and preparation in the same way as writing (which is probably why I like writing - it's also much less exhausting than my normal line of work!) I am always trying to better the 'last one' and worry hugely - but I'm lucky enough to get immediate feedback which helps after months of angst -
