Summer is still slowing me down with the writing. But this week I hope I can catch up.
On chapter 5 now. My head is full of ideas for the plot; making notes by the bucket loads but sitting down to write is hard work for some reason.
The lovely weather has unsettled me. I need to push myself.
Get up and go, Do!

That's the trouble. The patio is too inviting. I just want to sit in the sunshine listening to the radio with a long cool glass of squash in my hand.
I'm lazy! 
Just human, and in some ways that is preparation too. After all you are a writer not a machine. The Squash sounds nice.

You're right! I can kid myself I'm thinking; allowing my subconscious to do some work. Fact is - I really do believe in the power of the subconscious to get the work done. Have you ever had a worrying problem, slept on it and in the morning the solution hits you? I have. 
Oh yes, I don't sleep well anyway and I keep a pen and a small pad by the bed as I often wake up and remember things to be done, or new ideas. Many writers and inventers of course had their best ideas as dreams.
